Preventative Maintenance for Businesses

Proactive Care for Drain, Septic, Grease Traps, & More

Preventative maintenance is the best defense your business has against future problems. The best way to avoid backups, clogs, overflows, or breakages is to prevent them from occurring in the first place. Wind River Environmental understands what a business or commercial property needs to have a sound and effective preventative maintenance program.

Whether it's a DrainMaster Drain Systems, yearly jetting, a full inspection, or pumping your non-hazardous liquid waste systems, our licensed and insured technicians will suggest a commercial preventative maintenance plan that meets your needs and promotes the health of your septic system, interior lines, and grease traps and tanks!

Maintenance Matters for Healthy Plumbing Systems

The biggest advantage of preventative maintenance is the ability to catch potential issues before they become major problems. With regular inspections and tune-ups, our technicians can identify and address any minor issues before they become bigger issues like:

  • Sewage overflows, resulting in hazards for staff and customers
  • Leaks and clogs that can lead to costly repairs or replacements
  • Plumbing system breakdowns causing unexpected downtime and revenue loss
  • Unpleasant odors and unsanitary conditions due to buildup in grease traps or septic tanks

Don't wait for these issues to arise – be proactive and prevent them with a preventative commercial maintenance plan from Wind River Environmental!

Thanks to our years of experience, specialized equipment, and knowledgeable technicians, we proudly provide preventative maintenance services for many different businesses. Some of the most common industries and businesses we serve include:

And that's certainly not all! Whether your business falls into one of these categories, we are always happy to work with you to create a customized preventative maintenance plan that fits your specific needs and operational demands.

When to Schedule Commercial Septic Maintenance

While every septic system component requires different service intervals depending on factors such as usage, system size, and local regulations, there are some general guidelines you can follow:

  • Pump septic tanks every 2-5 years or more frequently for larger businesses with heavy usage
  • Clean grease traps every 1-3 months, depending on the amount of FOG produced
  • Schedule professional drain cleaning annually or more often if you notice slow drains
  • Have drain fields inspected annually and cleaned out every 5-10 years, depending on usage
  • Install effluent filters and have them cleaned every 6-12 months to prevent drain field clogs

With Wind River Environmental, you'll get a professional assessment and customized maintenance plan to keep your business's plumbing systems running smoothly and efficiently!

Hear From Our Happy Customers

    Efficient
“The technician was very helpful and gave me several ‘pointers’ about what we could do to help get the most out of our septic system.”
    - Stephen F.
    Great service
John Gilles performed our septic pump on 10/10/25. After the pump was completed, he asked me to flush each toilet a few times to make sure things were looking good. He also gave me advice on how to tell the tank is full and to prevent issues, since we should have had it pumped sooner than we did. He did a great job putting the dirt back afterwards since he had to dig to get to the tank. He was funny too! Great service, would be glad to have him again. By the way, the new online ordering system is much better. I'm glad it pulls details in from past orders now so I no longer have to re-enter them manually. Much quicker, thank you for that improvement!

    Pride
I spoke to the technician who pumped my tank Steve S and he was very personable and knowledgeable. My wife was watching Steve S cover hole that he dug up to pump my septic tank, and said that person really takes pride in his work because of the care he took to make it look natural again. I went out and told Steve my wifes comments because people seem to only hear the bad comments.
