At Wind River Environmental, we’re proud to be part of the Carver, MA community, a town which brings environmental awareness and responsibility to the forefront. Carver is a fine example of blending traditional agriculture with new technology, as exemplified at the cranberry bog owned by Mike Paduch. The bog isn’t just for cranberries; it now hosts a solar energy facility as well!
Solar industry leader Lodestar worked in cooperation with the town of Carver and the Department of Environmental Protection to develop this unique solar energy facility built right over Mike’s cranberry bog. The facility provides beneficial shade for the cranberry vines and will deliver 4 million dollars in energy cost savings over the life of the project for the town of Carver and the Barnstable Housing Authority, who are purchasing the energy credits from the facility. The facility provides power for 189 homes, offsets 814 tons of CO2, and delivers 1,148 kW of power. We’re proud to be part of a community which can recognize a win-win situation and does something about it.
Environmental responsibility in Carver begins at home, and one of the best ways to ensure that you’re playing your part in maintaining the groundwater resources of your community is to keep your home’s septic system in top working order. Frequent and regular pumping of the septic tank is the first step, preventing clogs and costly backflow problems before they occur. Learn more about septic pumping in Carver, MA here!
Septic pumping is necessary for preventative maintenance, but it may not be the solution for all drain problems. At Wind River Environmental, we know from experience that clogs happen. FOG – that is fat, oil, and grease – can build up over time and clog drains. When this happens, our technicians can diagnose the cause of the blockage with tiny cameras, then clear it quickly with snaking or high powered jetting.
At Wind River Environmental we’re happy to provide the Carver, MA community with the full range of plumbing services for both residential and commercial customers. Along with septic pumping and septic system rejuvenation and installation, we offer grease trap maintenance and pipelining services, so don’t hesitate to contact us for all of your wastewater treatment needs.
