Use All Natural Cleaners To Help Maintain Your Septic System

If you’re looking for a way to practice good septic system maintenance without spending a lot of time and money, here’s a quick and easy solution: use all natural cleaners to help maintain your septic system!

You can simply start cleaning your sinks, tubs, and toilets with all natural cleaners. These are cleaning products that are made from things like lemon, castile soap, vinegar, tee tree oil, baking soda, and other ingredients that are 100% chemical free. Of course, it is still important to have septic service conducted by an experienced professional at least once every year or two. So if it’s been a while, it is probably time to schedule preventative maintenance or septic pumping service.

How does it work?

One of the best ways to keep your septic tank working its best is to make sure that the pipes are running smoothly and everything stays clog free. If you clean your drains with harsh chemicals cleaners (such as bleach) you will quickly find yourself having more drain problems that you should. Why? Because the chemicals not only kill the germs that are lurking in your home but they will also kill all the good bacteria too.

Many people don’t realize that bacteria can also be a good and necessary thing. The bacteria will eat away at all our waste which helps to break it down. Without this natural process you will find your drains and pipes becoming clogged. It also will affect your septic system.

Without the bacteria in the septic tank the solids won’t get broken down and they will then go to the leach field where they can build up and harden, causing more clogs. This can be an irritating and often costly problem to repair. You can avoid this and still have a germ free bathroom and kitchen by using all natural ingredients as cleaners.

The best part about this is you can make the cleaners right in your own home! You don’t have to pay big bucks at the store to buy expensive Green cleaners. Environmentally friendly cleaners work well, but they are pricy and you can get the same result using lemons, tee tree oil, and baking soda.

A great toilet cleaner is:

  • 1/2 cup of vinegar.
  • 1/4 cup baking soda.
  • A couple drops of tea tree oil.

Did you know that vinegar and tea tree oil are natural germ killers?

You can also use lemons, which will clean your tub, leave it smelling fresh and clean and you will still be practicing good septic system maintenance.
