The city of Hiram, Georgia was established in 1891 as what the city website refers to as “a sleepy, rural railroad town”. In 2017 the small city had a population of 3,984 within its 3.05-mile borders. Hiram finds itself in the northwestern part of the state in Paulding County, a short 26-mile drive from Downtown Atlanta. In fact, CNNMoney rated Paulding County as one of the top 20 best places in the country. Though it is a small, the city is consistently growing because of it’s small quiet feel and affordable housing.

Today the continues to grow and has become “a commercial corridor for Paulding County” according to the city website. It is self-proclaimed as one of the fastest growing counties in the United States. The county itself is scattered with beautiful parks and plenty of restaurants and shops. Within the borders of Hiram, Georgia, you’ll find historic downtown which features historic shops along with larger national retailers. The Atlanta Film Studio of Paulding County is 78,000 square feet and was recently purchased by Swirl Studios. Thanks to the studio, Hiram and some of the surrounding towns, like Dallas, have been the set of movies and television shows such as, For Richer or Poorer.
