Wind River Environmental Completes 3rd Acquisition in Southwest Florida, Gibson Septic

October 14, 2019

Marlborough, MA, and Port Charlotte and North Fort Myers, FL – October 11th, 2019

Wind River Environmental (“Wind River”), the nation’s leading provider of non-hazardous liquid waste solutions, announced today that it has acquired Gibson Septic Tank Services (“Gibson”) in Port Charlotte and North Fort Myers, FL.

Headquartered in North Ft. Myers, Gibson is a family-owned full service provider of septic pumping, grease trap pumping, and septic system repair and replacement.

Gibson’s President, Mark Gibson, comments, “Leah and I are really excited to team up with Wind River.  They are a professionally run organization with a high degree of integrity, and we believe this is a terrific outcome for our family and our many loyal employees.”

David Parry, CEO of Wind River, comments, “The southwest Florida market has been an important expansion area for Wind River.  Gibson has a strong reputation in the region, and we are excited to continue our growth trajectory, particularly in the areas of grease trap pumping, septic pumping, and environmentally responsible liquid waste disposal.  We welcome the Gibson team to the Wind River family.”

About Wind River

Headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts, Wind River Environmental is a leading “super-regional” environmental services company.  Wind River and its affiliates service and maintain a broad array of non-hazardous liquid waste systems, including grease traps, septic tanks and related waste systems for a wide range of commercial, residential and municipal customers.  The company has a “vertical integration” model that handles all aspects of liquid waste streams ranging from collection and hauling though processing, treatment and disposal.  Backed by Gryphon Investors, a multi-billion-dollar private equity fund based in San Francisco, Wind River is the largest and most successful consolidator in this highly fragmented and growing market.  For more information, please visit www.wrenvironmental.com.
